Who We Are and How We Work

Who we are

We are lawyers acting in cases that involve INTERPOL — principally applications to the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files for access to and deletion of data. We are not affiliated with the Organization, we do not act for it, and we do not represent requesting states.

The practice is narrow on purpose. Alerts are decided on paper, by a body that is not a court, against rules that are the Organization’s own — and that is a different discipline from criminal defence or from extradition litigation, both of which we coordinate with local counsel rather than run ourselves.

How we work

  • Record firstNothing is argued before we know what is actually held. The access request comes before the application.
  • One advocate per fileThe person who gives the first assessment is the person who runs the matter.
  • Grounds, not rhetoricApplications rest on documented grounds. Where there is nothing to document, we say so.
  • Local counsel where neededDetention, travel bans and extradition requests are run with lawyers admitted in that jurisdiction.

Who writes what is published here

Every substantive page carries a visible byline and a review date — who writes and reviews our content. The lawyers themselves are listed on our team.
