  • Politically motivated requestsArticle 3 arguments where a charge follows public or political activity.
  • Commercial disputes reframed as fraudThe most common shape of an abusive request out of the CIS.
  • Parallel extradition proceedingsCoordinated with counsel admitted in the jurisdiction where the person is held.

Matters handled

Secured the removal of a red notice against a member of the Ukrainian Parliament wrongly accused of bribery by Belarus. Obtained the deletion of data concerning an Austrian businessman after establishing that Russia had used the Organization’s channels to pursue what was in substance a commercial dispute. Prevented the extradition of a Kenyan entrepreneur where the allegations arose from a business disagreement rather than criminal conduct — the Commission removed the notice while the case was still under review.

The service these matters fall under is set out on our red notice removal service, and the grounds relied on are described in grounds for deleting a red notice.
